Looking at the Digg and Reddit etc, sites they do seem to have some use. If you can convince people to "digg" your story or website then you could get some nice publicity.I haven't ventured very deep into this yet.I think it is a good inidicator of what people using the service are interested in,but I wouldn't use it strictly for hard research purposes.Just because a story is at the top,what does that mean,that it's the most entertaining?Perhaps but that may not mean it's the most detailed or factual story.I think Digg and the other sites are good to find out what type of stories interest people and it can certainly be a boon to people/companies seeking publicity.And who isn't
seeking publicity in this internet age?
