I edited some text in the aimn23 Front Page(under the moniker,FD).
Wikia looks interesting as a place to scour different sources of user posted information.Wiki How is definitely something I am interested in.
The potential problem with all of these is,are there enough users to keep the information accurate? Are there enough people posting who actually know what they are talking about?
This is something that I haven't figured out yet,if people are trusting these consumer made sources, what happens to the professional sources?

Thing 16
I haven't taken any photos in a while so I just posted some webcam pics related to states I've lived in. http://www.flickr.com/photos/44315607@N03/map/
Here are 2 pics,an amusement park in Japan : http://www.flickr.com/photos/85123156@N00/822938882
An exotic bird from Argentina: http://www.flickr.com/photos/21506908@N07/2802576808
I'm not sure how I would use geotagging at this stage.I can imagine many uses, more on a person to person level, for example,if long distance friends or relatives want to know more about your neighborhood or city, they could click around the links you've made.It could be a nice way to explore the world, depending on how people tag their photos.
I looked at Picasa, but Flickr looks more comprehensive.

I subscribed and listened to The Writer's Almanac by Garrison Keillor.I like words, grammar, poetry and how people use language creatively. This is a link to the main Writer's Almanac page http://writersalmanac.publicradio.org/index.php
I like the general I-Tunes podcast directory, the MPR page was good too.Podcast Alley was good but you have to subscribe? So much subscribing!I actually bought my IPod specifically just for podcasts and audiobooks.
I don't really have any ideas or want to make my own podcast at this moment. After listening to several of them however, whatever I was podcasting about,I would make sure my show was organized and entertaining. There's too much looseness in a lot of these podcasts, and I am indeed talking about some of the so called informative "professional" ones.

The Research Calculator is a very interesting idea.If I was going to use it I would opt for the long version.I like that it moves the student along while challenging them at each stage to prove/verify that they've completed and understood each step.A specific plan like this seems much better for research projects because it's considering the sums individually as you go along constructing the whole.
I like that the teacher is required to keep the momentum of the project going. Also, something that I'm concerned about in this information-everywhere age, they note the need to sort out the sources of information according to their accuracy and intent. This is why I groan when people try to prove a point by starting out with "well, according to Wikipedia...".
I never encountered anything like this in high school. This method is comprehensive and if adhered to,the student could easily use this in any other class project. It requires them to actually process the information, think about how they are acquiring and using the information, and interpreting what they've gathered and assimilated.Really, this should be taught in schools as early as applicable.

I've been using I-Google for awhile now, after trying out another site.I like the idea of an all-in-one site that has my favorite features.I handpick my own news feeds, quote of the day, youtube widget, etc.I think these things will evolve to make the a person's home page customizable in endless detail and across other platforms, like phones.I know that's what I would like to see.
The calendar I have just started using, and again it's a nice tool because I don't have to carry my notepad around.
On that similar note,I signed up with Remember the Milk, which would be great for me to organize the things I need to do in a week. The ability to have reminders texted or emailed to you is great, although I guess you have to pay a fee.If I were to do that someday, I would probably go with Remember the Milk, as it is much cheaper than BackPack.
This ability to track what you need to do and edit that info from different computers and I assume, smartphones is fascinating.I'm not on the I-phone bandwagon yet,but I can definitely see myself using one someday.

I started using Delicious a few weeks ago,and I like it a lot.I'm using it for school related bookmarks, tutorials and things of interest related to my field of study. The ability to tag and classify your different bookmarks into categories helps a great deal.I will eventually abandon my browser based bookmarks.
I took a brief look at Diigo, which used to be Furl.It looks ok,but I'll come back to it later as I'm just getting used to Delicious. It's a bit much to keep track of all these websites that are supposed to make things easier!

I'm having problems uploading my Powerpoint presentation to Zoho, so I'm using SlideShare instead.SlideShare is very simple, although I was hoping to use Zohoshare because of what Zoho offers in general.
These tools I'm discovering for online collaboration are exciting.Especially the idea that you can share or work on a project from anywhere you want. You don't need to be tied to your work/school/home computer.
Here is the slideshow I made for this Thing:
